Chinese social media started removing PUBG-related content

One of the largest Chinese social media, Weibo, started banning and deleting all content related to PUBG: Battlegrounds. PlayerIGN reports this on his Twitter:

NEW & Update:

• Tags for PUBG and other unapproved games saw bans on China's Weibo social media.

• PUBG videos are banned too.

• Gaming news channels posting re: "illegal" games, were taken down This follows a recent PUBG esports ban, and censorship on PUBG live-streaming.

PUBG has already been removed/censored on major streaming platforms in the Middle Kingdom. In addition, the National Press and Publications Authority (NPPA) has imposed a ban on any PUBG-related competitions and events in the country.

All these restrictions are related to the fact that PUBG: Battlegrounds is not an officially approved game in China, but all this time, users from the Middle Kingdom were able to play PUBG via the international Steam client (without VPN).
